1. Overview

At Kalagala Education Initiative (KEI), we deeply appreciate your support and commitment to empowering children through education and community programs in Uganda.
This Return and Refund Policy explains how we handle donations, sponsorships, and product purchases made through our website or affiliated platforms.

2. Donations

All donations made to KEI are non-refundable.
Once a donation is processed, it is immediately allocated to our education and community programs.

If you made a donation in error or suspect unauthorized use of your card, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction at:

We will review the issue and, if appropriate, arrange a refund or correction.

3. Child Sponsorships

Child sponsorship contributions are also considered donations.
These funds are used to support education, nutrition, and mentorship for children in our programs.
Sponsors may cancel future recurring payments at any time by contacting us at least 10 days before the next billing date.

4. Merchandise and Physical Goods

If you purchased physical items (e.g., branded merchandise, crafts, or educational materials) from KEI:

You may request a return or exchange within 14 days of receiving your order.
Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and in the same condition as received.
Shipping costs for returns are generally non-refundable unless the product arrived damaged or incorrect.

5. Event or Volunteer Program Fees

Program or event participation fees (e.g., volunteer trips) are partially refundable under certain conditions:

A full refund may be provided if cancellation occurs 30+ days before the start date.
A 50% refund may be provided if cancellation occurs 15–29 days before the start date.
No refund will be issued for cancellations made less than 14 days before the program start.

If KEI cancels an event or program, all fees will be refunded in full.

6. Processing of Refunds

Once your refund is approved, we will process it within 7–10 business days.
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method unless otherwise arranged.
